FRIENDS OF CENTRAL PARK HAWORTH
Your support is vital to the work we do for our beloved park.
Whether you’re a business or an individual, whether you live in Haworth or visit our park from further afield, we welcome all friends new and old.
We administrate the membership fees of Friends of Central Park Haworth in OCTOBER every year. You can join at any time, but renewals will be every October.
Your £5 (Individual) or £10 (Business or Group) is put to good use. The Friends of Central Park Haworth have worked to raise funds to replace the Bandstand, not only paying to build it, but also planning community events to ensure it lasts as a hub of entertainment and performance. We built and maintain the memory garden and we have built and maintain raised flower beds. In addition, we pay for public liability insurance which means we can host events.

WE ARE A GRADE II LISTED PARK
On 13th November 2002, Central Park, Haworth was registered at Grade II under the Historic Buildings and Ancient Monuments Act 1953 within the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens by Historic England for its special historic interest.
AWARDED GREEN FLAG STATUS SINCE 2006
On the 21st July 2006, Haworth Central Park was awarded a coveted Green Flag. Green Flag is the national award for parks and green spaces in England and Wales and is a means of recognising the park as a high quality green space. Central Park has continued to be recognised every year since.
Central Park was visited on June 8th by independent judges on behalf of Green Flag award scheme. Haworth Central Park applied for the Green Flag award as part of the park forward plan, developed in partnership between Bradford Parks and Landscapes Department and the Friends of Central Park, Haworth.

Weeding Club
Any help you can offer is appreciated. We love our park to be at its best all year round and there’s a small, but hard-working, group of us who join forces on a Wednesday evening from 5pm to gently maintain our beautiful flower beds.
You don’t have to come along every week and tools are provided to all volunteers willing to pitch in.
